In the Vedas, Mother Cow has been
described as the Mother of the World. Not only Rigveda but Puranas also praise
the prestige of cow. From cow milk, cow dung, cow urine to attaining successful
sadhana and siddhis by being close to mother cow, there are many descriptions
everywhere.
Today, scientists are also excited about
the divine nutritional, popular and prosperity power of substances and cow
products like cow milk, curd, ghee, urine, dung. Scientists are also finding
solutions to the worldwide environmental and nutritional crisis in cow-based
agriculture and cow-based lifestyle. Only by serving cow will everyone get
happiness, peace and healthy life because on one hand mother cow provides
nutritious food and on the other hand it provides new means of employment.
Save Vedic tradition, Save Mother
Cows
One of the most important reasons is that
cows have been the backbone of Indian families and the Indian agricultural
system since the dawn of this ancient Hindu civilization. It is an Indian
mythological belief that Mother Cow is the abode of 33 crore gods. In India the
word "Cow" is a symbol of faith, purity, reverence and religious
culture. Mother cow is also at the root of Indian culture and today mother cow
is very important for the welfare of man and nature.
Nowadays, our Indian culture and respect
for mother cow is decreasing day by day. Unfortunately, our mother cow is
roaming on the streets. Not only this but there are also such places which make
us face the harsh reality and in one of them a cow is seen eating garbage in a
garbage dump. To satisfy hunger, circumstantial cows are forced to eat garbage,
including plastic bags, toxic substances, chewing tobacco, sharp glasses and
iron nails. Most of the time, it bites their tongue and results in bleeding
from the mouth. But the mother has no other way to satisfy her hunger than
eating this kind of thing.
Save the cow and secure our future
The plight of cows in our country is the result of the fact that despite
working hard we are not able to experience happiness and prosperity in life. We
should not forget here that killing mother cow means ending human civilization.
Therefore, understand the pain and suffering of our mother and give her the
status she deserves.
We all should take a pledge to serve
Mother Cow selflessly. On the road or wherever they are seen in trouble, they
will immediately move forward. Our small efforts are enough to serve Mother
Cow. Today we will move forward to serve the cows, tomorrow someone else will
come and we will create a chain through which the mother cows wandering from
door to door will get support.
Social consciousness will have to be
created for the protection and promotion of mother cow. On the occasion of
birthday, or on the occasion of death feast, it is very important to serve
Mother Cow by doing some service, even a little, in order to take the society
forward.
Serving & Protecting Mother Cow
Shree Krishnayan Desi Gaurakshashala is
doing remarkable work in this field. Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam
Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of Desi cows in
India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray
Desi Cows & Bulls, the majority of which are abandoned by their owners or
saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. These cows are
brought to our Gaushala from tough conditions. All these cows are fed,
sheltered, and looked after by hundreds of Gausewaks who work round the clock.
This Gaushala is run and managed by saints. We started with just 11 cows in the
year 2010 in Haridwar, and presently we shelter and feed more than 20000 cows
& Bulls in various locations all put together. This number is
ever-increasing as stray Desi Cows & Bulls mostly deserted by their owner
are brought to our Gaurakshashala every day.
