Protecting & Sheltering Over 21000 Stray & Rescued Gauvansh
Cause:-
Desi Cow Gau daan : The Mahadaan of Universe "Gau Daan" means donating a cow. In Indian culture, donating a cow is considered a great virtuous act. In our Vedas and scriptures, Yagya, Gau Daan service to ancestors are considered very important. In the Anushasana Parva of Mahabharata, it is said that cow donation is the best of all donations. Cow donation can be done anytime, but if cow donation is done during Pitru Paksha, then it has special importance. It is said in the scriptures that one who wants to go to heaven by riding a great plane adorned with divine ornaments should donate a cow. According to astrology, by donating a cow, the ancestors are always happy and they attain salvation. The ancestors shower their blessings. According to astrology, by donating a cow, a person gets free from problems like debt, financial crisis etc. Goddess Lakshmi's blessings remain on him. This is done on special occasions, such as important religious festivals, during the Shraddha ceremony for the death of a family member, or during religious pilgrimages. With the donation of a cow, the donor also assumes the responsibility of providing food, shelter and care for the cow, which makes this act even more meritorious.
Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha, situated on the banks of Maa Ganga in Haridwar, is home to over 18,000 desi cows and is managed by dedicated saints. We don’t sell milk or milk products; instead, we distribute them freely to saints, tapasvis, gausewaks, and ashrams. At our Gaushala, a Vedic Brahmin will perform Gau daan on your behalf LIVE via Google Meet, Zoom, or WhatsApp at your chosen date and time. This Gau daan will be conducted meticulously according to Vedic scriptures. You will also receive an instruction sheet via email with all the details. The cow donated on your behalf will be milked and its milk will be given to saints and tapasvis throughout its life. Performing Gau daan on the banks of Maa Ganga purifies you and absolves you of all sins, bringing peace and happiness to your ancestors. It will fulfill your Sankalp and help you attain the highest state of eternal bliss.
So, come forward and perform Gau daan to earn the blessings of 33 crore deities.
What we do:-
Presently more than 21000 destitute cows are living a happy and peaceful life. We not only give these cows a second home but also a second chance of happy life.
These cows are docile who do not harm anyone at all. So, we cannot leave these cows to meet a fatal end. Such cows are brought to our Gaushala from horrible time in which some are disabled or deeply injured even fighting for their life. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after. Hundreds of gausewaks work round the clock to look after them. These gauvansh are fed with a mixture of fodder that includes wheat, mustard cake, green grass, bhusa (husk) and jaggery. They are given plenty of water and have acres of land to move around. We have a team of expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines.
‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
