Let's take a pledge to serve and protect Gaumata with Shri Krishnayan Desi Gau Rakshashala

It is very sad to see Gaumata sick, destitute and suffering on the streets. While many cows die after consuming toxic waste, the heart is filled with agony to see the plight of the cows injured in the accident. The condition of cow mother is the result of increasing distance from our own culture and rituals. The Gaumata whose glory is so great, our rich traditions and a symbol of sovereignty, why the cow-vansh is in bad shape today is a big and very important question.

When we were proud to be called an agricultural country and were not influenced by western culture, then cow mother was respected everywhere. In the Puranas, there are countless such stories of the influence and superiority of the cow mother, from which it is known that our ancestors were great devotees of cow mother and protecting her was considered as her great religion and it was considered a matter of great fortune to follow it. In our Sanatan culture, the cow is said to be revered like a mother.

This is justified not only from a religious point of view, but also from a scientific point of view. Because the cow mother itself encompasses religion, spiritual science, ethics, sociology, agricultural science, health science, science, environmental science and industry science. It was said that when Lord Krishna himself served Gaumata, it is a virtue for us to serve the mother. But in the storm of modernity, we are neglecting and despising this mother.

In such a situation, being distressed by the plight of the cow mother, finally Guru Ji took up the task of rectifying the present condition of the cow dynasty. Through this great project, he took a pledge to serve the old, sick and destitute cows across the country. A hypothesis was prepared to protect the existence of the cow dynasty and this vision was realized in the form of 'Shri Krishnayan Desi Gau Raksha and Gaulok Dham Seva Samiti'.

The premise of this gaushala is to protect, feed and shelter only those sick, hungry, destitute and stray indigenous cows and bulls, which are mostly abandoned by their owners or rescued from butchers. Most of these cows are milk barren. These cows are brought to our Gaushala from difficult conditions. All these cows are fed, sheltered and looked after by hundreds of Gausevaks working round the clock. This cowshed is run by saints. We do not exploit these cows for milk but distribute them free of cost among saints/ascetics/gausevaks/ashrams.

We believe that our selfishness is attached to the cows that give milk. If we become selfish then who will serve the old, sick and destitute cows, on the land of India where people improve their world after seeing the cow mother, it is not easy to face such a dreadful situation today. It is the result of this service spirit that today thousands of cows are enjoying healthy and happy life in this Gaurakshashala.

We started in the year 2010 in Haridwar with just 11 cows, and currently we shelter and feed more than 18000 cows and bulls at various locations. This number continues to grow as stray indigenous cows and bullocks are mostly abandoned by their owners, who are brought to our Gau Rakshashala every day.

We give a happy second life to these cows. We shelter, feed and take care of them thoroughly. We have in house medical facility for them. Doctors are available round the clock. Full facility is available in the house. All necessary medicines are kept in sufficient quantity along with vaccination medicines. We have professional doctors for medical emergencies. We have huge dry feed (husk) storage house for storing approx. We feed these cows twice a day with a mixture of dry fodder, green fodder, cereals, mustard cake, jaggery/jaggery etc.

Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of Desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray Desi Cows & Bulls, the majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. All of you are requested to join the noble cause of Gosewa by giving financial support as much as possible and help the cow mother to get her lost honor and rights.
