It is so ironic that we call cows “Mata”, which means mother in English and cows are worshipped almost everywhere in India. But how many of us really pay attention to fulfilling the needs of cows? Are we unable to feed our own mother properly? 

A dairy cow eats between 25 and 50 kg of feed per day and needs a constant and regular supply of fresh water to drink. As a thumb formula it can be taken as “Feed per day = One tenth weight of the cow”. If a cow is 250 Kg it needs 25 Kg of feed per day but nobody really knows how much they are actually getting on regular basis. Whether their needs are fulfilling or they are starving out of hunger.

We drink cow’s milk & make several dairy products out of it, such as butter, buttermilk, Ghee, curd, and cheese. Milk is packed with important nutrients like Calcium, Phosphorus, Vitamins B, Potassium and Vitamin D. Plus, it's an excellent source of protein. Drinking milk and dairy products may prevent osteoporosis and bone fractures and even help you maintain a healthy weight.

We take so many benefits from our mother (cows) & it’s our duty to return the favor by doing our bit by giving donation for cow feeding, cow protection charity and donation for cow protection.

There are several NGOs for cow’s protection and to fulfill their needs. The basic unit of any NGO is their volunteers, but unfortunately they’re very few in number. So we  would be very appreciative if you offer your hand in this noble cause.

Now-a-days online donation is also available, considering that there are people who are keen to help but lack through the time. Also, in this pandemic it will be a better option.

They are tongue-tied animals that can't express their needs on their own. We must show some humanity towards them, so that we can call ourselves “Human” with some sentiments in an actual manner. We must make sure that what happens with our countrymen should not happen with our cows. Because if that starts happening it will be very sinful and we might lose the right to call ourselves “Human”.
