Cause:-
Falgun Amavasya, the no-moon day in the Hindu month of Falgun, holds great spiritual and religious importance. In 2025, Falgun Amavasya will be observed on March 1, 2025 (Saturday).
Significance of Falgun Amavasya
Amavasya (New Moon) is considered a powerful day for spiritual activities, ancestral worship (Pitru Tarpan), and cleansing negative energies. Falgun Amavasya is especially important as it falls just before the festival of Holi, marking the transition from winter to spring. It is believed that performing charitable acts, fasting, and sacred rituals on this day bring prosperity and peace to one’s life.
Rituals and Observances
1. Pitru Tarpan & Pind Daan
People perform Tarpan (offering water) and Pind Daan (food offerings) to their ancestors to seek their blessings and ensure their peaceful afterlife.
It is believed that offering prayers to forefathers on Amavasya helps remove ancestral doshas (Pitru Dosha).
2. Taking a Holy Dip
Devotees take a holy bath in sacred rivers like Ganga, Yamuna, or Godavari before sunrise. This is believed to purify the soul and wash away sins.
3. Fasting and Charity
Many devotees observe a Falgun Amavasya Vrat (fast) to seek divine blessings and spiritual growth.
Offering food, clothes, and donations to Brahmins, poor people, and animals (especially cows) is considered highly auspicious.
4. Worship of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva
Devotees worship Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Lakshmi for prosperity, happiness, and the removal of obstacles.
Chanting Vishnu Sahasranama, Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra, and other sacred hymns is believed to bring positive energy.
5. Lighting a Lamp (Deep Daan)
Lighting a mustard oil lamp (Diya) under a Peepal tree or near a river in the evening is believed to ward off negativity and attract divine blessings.
Astrological and Spiritual Importance
Amavasya is considered a powerful time for meditation and spiritual practices.
This day is ideal for removing negative energies, overcoming obstacles, and starting fresh ventures with positive intent.
Sadhaks (spiritual seekers) use this night to perform special Tantric rituals for divine connection.
Conclusion
Falgun Amavasya 2025 is a day filled with divine vibrations, offering an opportunity to cleanse past karmas and invite peace into one's life. By observing the rituals with devotion, one can seek blessings from both ancestors and deities, ensuring prosperity and spiritual upliftment.
Let this Falgun Amavasya be a day of inner transformation, gratitude, and divine connection!

What we do:-
Presently more than 21000 destitute cows are living a happy and peaceful life. We not only give these cows a second home but also a second chance of happy life.
These cows are docile who do not harm anyone at all. So, we cannot leave these cows to meet a fatal end. Such cows are brought to our Gaushala from horrible time in which some are disabled or deeply injured even fighting for their life. All these cows are fed, sheltered, and looked after. Hundreds of gausewaks work round the clock to look after them. These gauvansh are fed with a mixture of fodder that includes wheat, mustard cake, green grass, bhusa (husk) and jaggery. They are given plenty of water and have acres of land to move around. We have a team of expert doctors who look after these cows and administer them quality medicines.
‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
