Where Cows Are Happy, Prosperity Is There. Where Cows Are In Grief, Adversity Is There.
protecting & Sheltering Over 21000 Stray and Rescued Gauvansh
Cause:-
Once a cow grows old and stops giving milk, many owners heartlessly abandon them, deeming them useless. These innocent, divine Cows are left to fend for themselves on the streets, homeless and hungry. Thousands of such cows, once cherished, now face the harsh reality of life alone—aged, injured and abandoned. Some fall into the hands of butchers, while others wander endlessly, starving, braving the elements, and searching desperately for food. These poor souls faces endure insults, beatings and even stones thrown at them. Many suffer fatal accidents and others groan in agony from severe injuries, helplessly awaiting medical care. Their lives become a never-ending tale of misery and neglect.
But there is hope. At Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha, we believe that these sacred beings deserve a dignified life. Our gaushala shelters over 18,000 desi cows, providing them with a safe haven where they are lovingly cared for. Managed by dedicated saints, we ensure these cows receive the nourishment, medical attention, and love they need. We do not sell milk or milk products instead, we distribute them freely to saints, tapasvis, gausewaks and ashrams.
Support Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha financially for their monthly nourishment and care. Adopting a cow means taking full responsibility for an elderly cow in the gaushala, treating her as a member of your family, and ensuring her lifelong care and protection. The blessings and merits of this noble service will be bestowed upon your family members.
What we do:-
When our mother cows grew old and stopped giving milk, their owner disowned them because they were of no use to them. Thousands of such innocent cows were left on the streets without a home. Many of these were just aged, injured, or abandoned. Some of them cows fell prey in the hands of butchers. Others were deeply starved and moved from one place to another in search of food bearing the brunt of weather. These cows were insulted, canned and even pelted with stones. Some of them even met with fatal accidents, others groaned in pain due to severe injuries waiting for medical attention. The life of these cows became miserable. This number is ever-increasing.
Shastras say that every family should shelter at least one cow and protect it. There is an acute shortage of space and time because of which people don’t pay heed to routine requirements of our desi cows.
Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha shelters these kind of destitute cows abandoned by their owners and this number is ever increasing. People can adopt a cow that is already present in the gaushala by giving a small sum of money. This money, which is around 3000 per month, will be put into taking care of that cow for that month. This way, you can earn the Punya of serving Gaumata and not have to worry about the micromanagement that it involves. It will help you in fulfilling your wishes.
‘Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha Evam Gaulok Dham Sewa Samiti’ is one of the largest Gaurakshashala of desi cows in India. We protect, feed & shelter ailing, starving, destitute and stray desi cows majority of which are abandoned by their owners or saved from butchers. Most of these Gauvansh are milk barren. This gaushala is run and managed by saints. We do not sell milk or milk products. We started with just 11 cows in the year 2010 in Haridwar and presently we shelter and feed more than 21000 cows We are registered with Animal Welfare Board of India (Chennai) and with animal welfare board in various states.
